Toxic Twins 'Dream On!' One Night Detox

I was browsing the duty free magazine on the plane to Gibraltar, as I wanted to get some new perfume, but since I had only brought hand luggage with me and already had the maximum liquid allowance, I was limited to what I could bring back! These Dream On! by Toxic Twins One Night Detox stood out to me and when the lovely air hostess told me these are amazing so thought I would give them a go! The one night detox costs £6 for one treatment (normally they are £6.95). They promise to be ‘the perfect pick-me-up to alleviate the effects of: Burning the candle at both ends;  one too many drinks; restless sleep / difficulty getting up; or generally feeling less than fabulous!’

I got the original version, but they also do Green Tea (good for bloating) and Lavender (good for sleeping better and calming nerves) which I would also like to try but I have been unable to find anywhere that stocks these!

The Detox foot patches aka ‘sap sheet’ contain all natural ingredients, known as detoxifiers, specially blended to help boost the metabolism, such as - Agarikus mushroom, Eucalyptus tree vine, Bamboo vinegar, & Tourmaline Bio Stone. Sap Sheets are commonly used in the far east to detox based on the principles of reflexology.

A peek inside the pack

They couldn’t be any easier to use -  simply apply to the soles of both feet at night, to excrete toxins from the body 30 minutes before bed. Remove sachets from the plastic and remove backing from adhesive, place the ‘teabag’ silver side down on the sticky side of the pad and stick to the sole of your foot. They advise to wear for 8 hours and remove them in the morning and wash feet afterwards - they are non-invasive, discreet and work whilst you sleep. The teabags smell strongly of burning, BBQ type smell, and the next morning the bags had become slightly hard and turned from completely clear to a dark brown colour around the edges. I have not been able to find out what this means?

I’m not sure if it was due to the hot ‘Indian Summer’ weather we have been experiencing this week but I was disappointed when I found the sticky patches peeled off during the night – so of course I didn’t wear them for the full 8 hours as recommended, so not sure if they have worked correctly? If I was to try these again I would wear a pair of socks to keep the pads in place. I did wake up feeling refreshed but I don’t feel I can provide a fair review as I am unsure of how long the sheets were stuck on my feet. It is recommended to repeat this treatment 2-3 times a year to counteract our daily exposure to toxins.

Have you tried Toxic Twins? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

  4. I have heard about these feet dextox pads, the brown that you get on the pads is a reaction for the pads being on your feet, it isnt really taking anything out of your feet, they con you into thinking that it is removing toxins but it is doing nothing.
