GLOSSYBOX The Rose Gold Edit

For the festive season GLOSSYBOX has launched a Rose Gold Edit in collaboration with Beauty Blogger Really Ree.

Etre Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll on (*full size* worth £30.66)
This eye roll on promises to instantly soothe and hydrate delicate skin so handy to have during the party season. The cooling gel leaves the most tired of peepers looking refreshed and radiant. I have not heard of this brand before and this eye product is pricey so I'm excited to try and I have high expectations!

So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil (*full size* worth £15)
This product leaves a gorgeous glow to the skin and is perfect for strobing and highlighting cheekbones. The highlighter is powered by organic chia seed to hydrate and silk peptide to promote skin suppleness and elasticity. The product is formulated without mineral oil and doesn't use parabens or phthalates. This product is perfect for the party season.

Darphin 8 Flower Nectar Oil Cream (worth £10.83)
This hybrid oil/cream ensures your complexion stays nourished and protected all winter long. This product contains an indulgent blend of essences from 280 petals! I am really happy to recieve this product as Darphin is a high-end luxury brand with an expensive price tag and this is a product I have not yet tried. This generous sized sample is perfect to use when travelling or a weekend away.

Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint (*full size* worth £7)
These quick beauty fix nail paints have been developed by the team behind Cowshed. Long-lasting, quick drying and with a super glossy finish I'm looking forward to giving myself a cheeky mani with this pink 'candy shop'!

Essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off (*full size*worth £2.50)
This liquid lipstick gives you the coverage of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss, making for the perfect addition to your makeup bag this Christmas. I haven't tried any lip products from this budget friendly brand before, but I am a fan of their mascaras so I have high hopes for this!

Bonus Product: Starskin Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask (*full size* worth £8.50)
As a festive treat there is an extra product to try this month. This mask is an absolute skin saviour during the party season, because they hydrate and pep up pre-party skin and rescue tired 'morning after the night before' complexions. I received 'Red Carpet Ready' I'm excited to try this as each sheet mask is soaked in 30ml of the vitamin-packed serum - the equivalent to a full bottle!

I adore the theme on this limited edition GLOSSYBOX and it contained five full sized products of which I haven't tried before! I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to £74.49 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is fabulous value! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here. This would make a lovely gift for a beauty loving friend.

bkr Water Bottles

bkr is a beauty essential that will change the way you drink water forever. This high-end and chemical-free water bottle is a staple backstage at Fashion Week and loved by A-list celebrities. The world of beauty is filled with expensive treatments, product innovations and the latest skincare revolutions. However, beauty’s most important element - and the real secret to flawless skin is WATER!

No product you’re using is going to work if you’re dehydrated. It is recommended that you should drink at least 2 litres of water daily. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t drink near enough water so I’m going to try the 30 day bkr challenge - I’ll report back next month! I will attempt to drink 2 litres of water daily (4 bkr bottles) for 30 days and see if I notice a difference to my skin.

bkr is the solution to staying truly hydrated and helps to create the canvas for a gorgeous complexion and should be the first step in any beauty regimen. These beautifully designed bottles are not only this season’s brand new, must-have beauty accessory, but they will also motivate you to drink more water. bkr has already been adopted by a dedicated celebrity following including: Blake Lively, Giselle, Charlize Theron and Jessica Alba. bkr has now launched in the UK exclusively at Selfridges.

The concept is really simple. bkr replaces ugly, cheap plastic bottles that are not only harmful to the environment but nasty chemicals can leak from the plastic into the water that you are drinking! The bkr bottle is made from glass, holds half a litre of water (500ml), is re-usable and comes with a coloured soft silicone sleeve.

Each season bkr releases collections inspired by runway trends in New York, London, Paris and Milan – with colours ranging from bold brights to soft hues. It features a small opening for no spill sipping, no-leak seal, is BPA-free and phthalate-free and is even safe to use in a dishwasher.

bkr Water Bottle with silicone sleeve (500ml) costs £25 and the limited edition heart design is £28 are available exclusively from SelfridgesWhat do you think to the bkr concept?

GLOSSYBOX The Iconic Hollywood Edit

GLOSSYBOX is launched the Iconic Hollywood Collection on April 14th 2015. The box is a collector's edition box and is available in 4 different colour ways inspired by the golden age of glamour and the Hollywood greats.

GLOSSYBOX has captured the allure of Audrey, the marvel that is Marilyn and the wonder of Grace Kelly to curate the Iconic Hollywood Box. The classic red lipstick, the essential black eyeliner and a warm nude nail polish take over this months box. GLOSSYBOX have hand-picked the best in beauty to help you capture the look of your timeless favourite Hollywood beauty heroes.

Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss (*full size* worth £10)
I have tried a few items from the Lord & Berry range and all have been excellent quality and well pigmented. This lipstick pencil is described as the 'perfect Marilyn Red'. This modern take on a classic pillar box hue is ideal for Spring. It is in pencil form making the application easier than ever! The lipstick pencil is long-lasting and softening, with a matte finish.

POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen (*full size* worth £6.50)
I have tired a few of POP Beauty nail polishes but I haven't tried any of their makeup before. Elizabeth Taylor's iconic cat eye has never been easier to recreate thanks to this sooty black kohl pencil from Pop Beauty. Create a flicked wing with one swipe thanks to the high pigment and it's soft texture means its super easy to blend for a smokey effect.

Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream (worth £19.50)
This cocooning cream quickly replenishes skin, enhancing firmness and boosting luminosity for that sought-after red carpet glow. Any lines and wrinkles appear softened, and thanks to the inclusion of strengthening probiotics, it will keep your skin protected and nourished. I am really happy to recieve this product as Darphin is a high-end luxury brand with an expensive price tag and this is a product I have not yet tried so I have high hopes. This is a really generous sized sample and is perfect for travelling.

Color Club Barely There Nail Polish (*full size* worth £4.10)
Nude nails are a key trend for this spring, which also has roots in the Hollywood era. This is one of our favourite shades for the coming season and complements any skin tone for a glossy and sophisticated finish. Although I like the nude shade I am not a fan of this brand as I find the polishes chip quite easily.

Nougat London Soothing Bath Pearls (worth £3)
These bath pearls smell gorgeous and are described as an indulgent pre-event or party treat. These pearls lace the bath with a delicate fragrance and have a very subtle shimmer which stays on skin, creating a limb-lengthening sheen.

Bonus Products: Stella & Dot Earrings and Bracelet (*full size* worth £59)
There are two bonus products in this box from Stella & Dot. The tropicana-chandelier earrings are worth £40 and would jazz up any outfit with tropical pops of hot pink and spring green. These earrings are versatile chandeliers can be worn various ways as studs, drops or chandeliers.

The earrings are a perfect match with the 'Colourblock Cuff' which is worth £19. Colour blocking will never go out of style, and it gives this delicate cuff bracelet the right amount of boldness. Hand wrapped threads are accented with metal studs, allowing this stackable cuff to brighten up your arm party. These jewellery items are one of the best added extras I have seen in Beauty Boxes and they have made my day receiving them as they are perfect for summer.

I love the hollywood art work on this limited edition GLOSSYBOX and it contained five full sized products and the two added bonus items from Stella & Dot are AMAZING! I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to a whopping £102.10 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is fabulous value! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here. Looking for the perfect monthly treat?

Indulge yourself with one of GLOSSYBOX subscription offers. Choose from a three, six or twelve-month subscription, or why not purchase it as a gift for a beauty-loving friend? What do you think of this special edition box?

BIRCHBOX TATLER APRIL 2015

Happy Easter everyone I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend! This morning I received April's limited edition BIRCHBOX, who this month have partnered with Tatler Magazine.

The Brit-filled collaboration celebrates Tatler's new 'The Best of British' supplement and the box is a selection of British brands which showcase the best that our homegrown beauty talent has to offer. I absolutely love everything about this box: the British theme and brands, the cute floral print on the box and most of all: the new discovery of natural products from Banford and Dr Jackson's.

Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Cream (worth £7)
London-based Aromatherapy Associates have been enhancing the state of our wellbeing with their essential oil blends for over 30 years. Each scent is delicately layered to envelop your senses. I absolutely adore this brand and their products are so luxurious to use using  high quality ingredients. This Renewing Rose Body Cream smells gorgeous and is an indulgent blend of rose, shea butter and evening primrose oil for a luxurious moisture surge.

Bamford Geranium Hand and Body Wash (worth £4.40)
Bamford was born in the Cotswolds and fresh air, wide open spaces and rolling hills inspire their products and product names and ingredients pull the countryside straight into your bathroom. I am happy to discover this brand, love the chic packaging and the scent is uplifting, refreshing and 'spa-like' and this mini is perfect for travel. The geranium hand and body wash is a plant-based blend of soothing aloe vera, lavender and peppermint oils.

Ciate London Paint Pot 'Maybe Baby' (*full size* worth £9)
London-based nail brand Ciate bold paint pots evoke the bright lights and neon signs of our capital. This is a super pigmented, ultra-long lasting and a cinch to apply, this polish guarantees flawless nails. I adore the cute packaging and this shade is the perfect spring nude.

Dr Jackson's Natural Products Face Oil 03 (*full size* worth £30)
Bottled and packaged on his farm in Somerset, Dr Jackson might be based there but he sources ingredients from all over the world from the Amazon, to Indonesia, to Africa to make his beautiful products. Nourish, smooth and improve your skin tone with the 100% natural, antioxidant-packed face oil. This is a new brand discovery for me, I love the glass bottle and the oil blend smells amazing - I can't wait to try this!

Liz Earle Beauty Co Cleanse & Polish + Muslin Cloth (worth £9.75)
Liz Earle seeks the finest ingredients and botanicals in her luxurious must-try range based on Isle of Wight. The award-winning cleanse & polish two step cleansing system leaves skin nourished and glowing.

Percy & Reed London Big, Bold & Beautiful Dry Instant Volumising Spray (*full size* worth £14)
Adam Reed and Paul Percival have two salons in London - Mayfair and Shoreditch and are the inspiration behind their product range. This is the next generation of dry shampoo, the spray lifts and swells hair for beautiful volume.

This month's BIRCHBOX contains an amazing selection of products and one of their best yet. The products in the box are valued at £75.15  including 3 full size products so for only £10 plus £2.95 P&P is it super value for money and would make a great gift for a beauty loving friend. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (worth £17.40)
Laura Mercier's lightweight, creamy gel to be applied prior to foundation, to prepare the skin and create an invisible layer that acts as a buffer to outside elements. This is a generous sized sample and I look forward to trying to create the perfect canvas for makeup application.

Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum (worth £19.17)
This is a pricey Dermalogica product I am yet to try and again is a generous sized sample. This night-time supercharged peptide serum contains Argan and Rose oils to help increase luminosity, and encourage collagen-producing activities to help minimise fine lines.

NARS Mini Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien (worth £13.90)
NARS Satin Lip Pencil is rich in bright pigments that are drenched in decadent moisture for an ultra-creamy finish achieving maximum coverage. Every subscriber will receive the same shade 'Rikugien' which is a rose pink colour.

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser (worth £15)
This moisturiser is an advanced formula that revitalises and renews skin for naturally younger looking skin using stem cell technology. I have not tried anything from this bee venom range and this is an extremely pricey product so looking forward to testing if I can see any results!

Benefit They're Real Mascara (worth £6.88)
Benefit's jet black, long-wearing formula that won't smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had! This mascara is amazing and I'm happy to have a mini to add to my makeup bag.

Macadamia Oil (worth £1.75)
Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment is a therapeutic oil for all hair types. It's instantly absorbed, lightweight and non-greasy and provides intense nourishment, leaving hair ultra-smooth, manageable and shiny.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (worth £20.25)
A dynamic anti-aging cream which dramatically increases the skin's elasticity, suppleness and hydration levels. This high tech cream penetrates the skin's layers at a deeper level. This moisturiser is a favourite of mine so I'm happy to have a mini tube to use when I'm travelling.

La Coupe Intensive Hair Repair (*full size* worth £3.50)
A luxurious deep treatment infused with a hydrating blend of certified organic coconut oil, macadamia oil and cocoa seed butter for weightless yet deep hydration. I have not heard of this brand before but is right up my street being paraben free and claims to rehydrate dry hair.

Harvey Nichols Mini Scented Candle (worth £7.50)
The Harvey Nichols Mini Candle set compromises four scents: Dining, Party, Bathing and Sleeping. Your candle is the perfect introduction to the set. I am obsessed with candles so I'm extremely happy to receive this!
Show Beauty Premier Dry Shampoo (*full size* worth £30)
I have not tried this brand but read many rave reviews of this product so I'm excited to try! This dry shampoo is super pricey but promises to add body and texture to hair whilst soaking up excess oils, dirt and odours. It leaves hair shiny and glossy not matte like some other dry shampoos can look chalky which I'm not a fan of.

O.P.I Viking Nail Polish (*full size* worth £12)
Inspired by the volcanic rock in Iceland. Every subscriber will receive the same shade 'Viking In a Vinter Vonderland' which is a deep purple colour.

I think this is THE BEST Glossybox to date - It is a nice selection of luxury and pampering products for the winter season, I love all the brands and products and it is superb value for money! Be quick to order as there are only a limited amount of these special boxes available and will surely sell out very quickly! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here.

GLOSSYBOX & KAREN MILLEN September 2014

GLOSSYBOX have partnered up with KAREN MILLEN this month to create a limited edition London skyline box. I love the London skyline illustration and I'm pleased with the contents as it features some new interesting products that I haven't tried! Inside the box...

ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel (*full size* worth £14.95)
This innovative brush-on fibre gel gives the appearance of fuller, thicker brows instantly. I'm not a fan of the fibre mascaras as I find they irritate my eyes but I'm really interested in trying this out. It looks quite similar to the Benefit version. However, it does seem pricey for such a small tube!

L'Oreal Professional Mythic Masque (worth £5.80)
A hair masque to intensely nourish and replenish the hair. I am excited to try this as I love the Mythic Hair oil from the same range and I had no idea they made a masque. This is quite a decent sized sample too.

SkinPep Enzyme and Acid Peel and Eye Cream (Acid Peel worth £6.10 and Eye Cream worth £6.49)
I haven't heard of this brand but the products sound interesting and I'm looking forward to trying. These products are super expensive!

Nails inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat (*full size* worth £12)
I like Nails inc polishes and not tried a matte top coat but this sounds fabulous to turn any nail polish colour to a matte finish.

Origins Anti-Aging Power Serum (worth £24)
This age-fighting serum claims to help visibly reduce lines and wrinkles in just 2 weeks! This is also a pretty decent sized sample!

This month's box had a great selection of products as recently the boxes have become a little boring. I loved the illustration on the box but the KAREN MILLEN partnership is disappointing. It would have been nice to have had a small item from KAREN MILLEN rather than a £25 discount voucher when spending £150 in-store. I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to roughly £69.34 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is brilliant value! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here.

GLOSSYBOX Stars & Stripes July 2014

GLOSSYBOX has gone stateside with a special edition 'Stars and Stripes' themed box this month. The box showcases the best transatlantic beauty discoveries from brands across the pond. Inside the box...

Carmex Lip Balm (*full size* worth £2.69)
Loved by celebrities and makeup artists all over the world, Carmex is the original lip balm and the only way to soothe dry, chapped lips. This handbag staple contains menthol, camphor and beeswax, lips are nourished, conditioned and protected from the elements all year round.

Color Club Glossy Seal (*full size* worth £5)
Colour Club nail polish is proudly made in New York with only non-toxic, cruelty free ingredients. This shade Glossy Seal has been exclusively formulated for Glossybox.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 mascara (worth £9.50)
I've heard so much hype around this mascara so I'm very happy to receive this mini version to try. It is claimed by many to be their hero mascara with conditioning properties that helps to lengthen, curl, create volume and healthy, longer lashes all in one. This 4-in-1 mascara is dermatologist and clinically proven to increase the appearance of lash volume!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick (*full size* worth £20)
This cult American favourite is formulated with natural waxes, mineral pigments and antioxidants including Vitamin C and Vitamin E, providing long lasting colour and protection against the sun. I adore the orangey-red shade 'Mandarina' I received and look forward to trying however, it seems very expensive for a lipstick!

Absolute New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer (*full size* worth £2.50)
This oil-free, ultra creamy formula evens skin tone around the eye area and keeps eyeshadow crease-free and colour-true for a lasting look. This is not a brand I'm familiar with and don't tend to use eye primers so I shall pass this onto a friend to try.

This month's box had a nice selection of products and I loved the American theme, four of five were full size. I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to roughly £39.69 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is not bad! I am most pleased and excited about the mascara and lipstick! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here.

GLOSSYBOX December 2013

It's been ages since I last posted about GLOSSYBOX,  in fact I have been very slack in posting full stop this year since moving to London but I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

When I arrived home on Tuesday, I was greeted with the December GLOSSYBOX. This month's themed box was 'Festive Treasures' and as usual the products came packaged in a limited edition red box with candy cane print tissue, green shredded tissue and sticker to fit with the theme. What's in this month's box.....

BEAUTIFUL MOVEMENTS COSMETICS Nude Lip Gloss (worth £6)
I haven't tried many products from this range but I like that the range is cruelty free and all natural and free from toxins and parabens. This is a Jojoba rich, non sticky nude lip gloss perfect for the party season so much so Kimberly Wyatt former pussycat doll says its her perfect nude lipgloss!

WILKINSON Sword Intuition Naturals Razor (*Full Size* worth £6.49)
A razor! Not exciting or very glam but a basic and party essential when baring bare legs that we all need to use! This is a 3 in 1 razor that lathers, moisturises and shaves.

MAYBELLINE NEW YORK Volum' Express Colossal Smokey Eyes Mascara (*Full Size* worth £7.99)
With collagen and kohl effect pigments this mascara plumps lashes for a smokin' hot look and creates the perfect smokey eye. I haven't tried this mascara before but I do like volume and a large brush so this sounds right up my street!

SECHE Nail Lacquer  (*Full Size* worth £9.95)
The nail polish I received was in the shade ' portobello' and it promises pure colour saturation in one  I like the Seche Top coat as it helps any polish stay chip-free the longest but I haven't tried any of the seche colours so will be interested to see how long these last!

RITUALS Miracle Balm (*Full Size* worth £10)
This luxuriously rich hand balm was specially developed to soothe and calm dry, rough hands, leaving a divine floral scent. This can also be used as an overnight hand mask.

This month's box was jam packed and contained a good mix of products, four of five were full size, although I would have liked to see more 'gifty' items with it being Christmas. I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to roughly £40.43 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is not bad! The box also came with a new GLOSSYBOX magazine which is an added bonus! I am most pleased and excited about the mascara and miracle balm! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here.
