Superdrug Beauty Loyalty Card

Superdrug are set to follow Boots and are launching a loyalty card scheme, called the 'Beauty Card' - about time! Customers can earn points in store and online that can be redeemed in store – much like the Boots Advantage Card.
The card will launch on 11th May and to celebrate customers can earn 50 bonus points for every £5 spent on Superdrug branded products in store until 7th June, whilst online during the same period customers will receive 10 points per pound on all shopping. The BeautyCard will offer one point for every pound spent, and every 100 points will translate to a pound spent in store.

Although I’m pleased to hear they are rewarding their loyal customers when you have to spend £100 to get £1 back, it seems a little feeble compared to the Boots card, whereby 4 points are collected for every £1 spent.

What do you think?

Glossy Box arrives to UK

I have heard much hype recently about the Birch Box craze throughout the USA. If you are not familiar with Birch Box, it is a monthly subscription costing just $10 a month, whereby you receive a nicely presented box with a selection of 4-5 luxury, 'deluxe' high-end samples delivered to your door. You'll receive anything from skincare to makeup, to nail polish and beauty tools, from well-known brands as well as emerging gems. It gives you a chance to try out new products (without buying the full size product), and if discover you love the samples then you can purchase the full-size versions directly at a discount. Sadly this service was only available in the USA only, until last week when GlossyBox was launched in the UK!

For £10 monthly (free P&P) subscription charge, every month a GlossyBox is delivered to your door containing five carefully selected, indulgent and exciting luxury samples to test out at home. In addition to high-end luxury product miniatures, the box contains product information, application notes and tips and tricks about beauty and style.

The unique appeal of GlossyBox is that as a recipient of the box you can create your own personal beauty profile on their site so they can choose the right products to fit your needs and tastes. The product range is diverse, ranging from a luxury lipstick to a trendy hair care product from a cutting edge brand.

It’s a bargain considering some of the brands involved are NARS, OPI, Laura Mercier, Kiehls, amongst more so the perfect way to keep up with the newest beauty trends without breaking the bank. It’s also a great way for all of us beauty lovers to test new products before making our mind up without forking out for the full-size version.

You can also cancel your subscription whenever you like, with no strings attached. I've heard a rumour that there shall be a NARS product in the first box! Sounds too good to be true? To find out more and to order click here.

Lush Spa 'The Spell' Treatment

Lush has launched 'The Spell', a 60 minute treatment (£50.00) based on a traditional foot massage performed at The Lush Spa. Taking inspiration from reflexology, this treatment aims to ease the build up of stress and anxiety. The Spell treatment begins with the client writing down a worry, which is then placed in a copper pot and lit. Then a zesty scrub with Stepping Stone pumice is used on the feet, along with a therapeutic soak and a Volcanic Bath Ballistic. The Volcano foot mask with healing clays and pumice is applied to the feet to cleanse and remove any dead skin, and a head and scalp massage then follows. Also available at The Lush Spa are: the signature Synaesthesia massage (£125.00), Validation Facial (£75.00), The Good Hour massage (£75.00) and Tailor Made massage (£40.00).

These treatments are pricey but from what I've heard worth every penny - I hope to review for you soon! Let me know if you have had any Lush Spa treatments and your thoughts below.
