Eva Longoria Parker unveils her debut fragrance

Yesterday saw Eva Longoria-Parker launching her new feminine fragrance at Westfield. The Desperate Housewives star showed off her curves in a glamourous nude draped Victoria Beckham dress from her up-and-coming VB Fall Collection and matching nude heels, the inspiration behind the hour-glass shaped bottle.

Eva reportedly created the perfume because everything else makes her sneeze. With a luxurious blend of fruity citrus top notes and musky sandalwood base notes, the floral fragrance is versatile enough to be worn during the day and in the evening.

'EVA' by Eva Longoria is the latest celebrity fragrance to hit the shops and is available exclusively at The Perfume Shop priced at £27.50 for 50ml.

Invisible Bra?

Surgeons are now offering an 'invisible bra' which is worn under the skin. The Internal Bra System is a mesh support which can be inserted instead of implants. The cone-shaped polyester mesh is put under the skin of the breast and attached with stitches to a layer of fat above the breast tissue.
Whatever confidence boost the private procedure brings does, however, come with a hefty price tag of £5,900. Called Breform, the system is similar to that used in hernia operations for 40 years as it supports the new shape, taking the strain off scars and skin.

There are six UK surgeons trained to insert the mesh, which they describe as 'like a bra cup without the straps'.

Do you think this will be popular?

Burt’s Bees New Flavoured Lip Balms – Mango Butter & Acai Berry

I’m a huge fan of lip balms and butters, especially in the winter, and in particular I love the Burt’s Bees brand, so I was delighted to try their new flavoured lip balms – Mango Butter and Acai Berry. Mango has powerful hydrating properties whilst Acai Berry is a well-known Brazilian ‘Superfruit’ providing free radical fighting anti-oxidants and Vitamins A,C,D and E as well as healthy Omega Oils, giving your lips a rejuvenating experience.
They both smell delicious, in fact good enough to eat, are super moisturising yet not at all greasy and leave my lips smooth and soft. They are made from 100% natural ingredients, free from parabens and nasty chemicals. The smell and texture of these lipbalms remind me very much of the Boots Natural Collection flavoured lip balms that were a huge craze when I was at school, do you remember them?

Priced at £3.49 each and are available from Burt’s Bees, Boots, John Lewis.

Marks & Spencer have joined forces with the Oxfam Charity to reward you for donating your old clothes, which aims to raise £1 million for Oxfam. Nothing to wear, but no room for more? Free up some space and fund next season's style. Keep your unwanted clothes out of landfill and give them a chance of a new life with someone else by bringing the M&S clothes you no longer wear into participating M&S stores on Wednesday 8th September and you'll receive a £5 voucher to spend on a new wardrobe.

The initiative is part of M&S’ involvement in HRH Prince of Wales’ START campaign, designed to help consumers make a start in leading a more sustainable lifestyle. You can sign up here and be reminded of The Wardrobe Clear-Out Day and also find your nearest participating store. Recycling doesn't just help the environment, it also encourages us to make use of things we no longer need and promotes community involvement in the process.

I think more stores should be getting involved in this initiative, do you?

Product Rave: Neal & Wolf

A few months ago I was sent a selection of hair products from a new brand that I was not familiar with: Neal & Wolf. ‘Neäl & Wølf’ claims to be ‘a professional haircare range that combines the ultimate in product excellence with the ultimate in glamour ... without the stunning price tag.’

In my opinion their ‘Harmony Intensive Care Treatment’ stands out as being the must-have star buy from their collection. The treatment promises to ‘repair damaged hair, using a unique combination of intensive conditioners that deliver an instant transformation. The difference in texture and appearance is truly stunning, leaving hair shiny, healthy and manageable’.

The range comes in lovely sophisticated sleek cream and grey packaging, however there are no instructions printed on the back - reason being is that being a professional salon brand, the hair stylist would advice on how best to use each of the products. However, due to client feedback, future products will have instructions printed on the packaging.

I love the unusual musky scent that I can only describe as ‘unisex’, but is a nice change to the normal fruity fragranced conditioners and leaves a faint musky smell in my hair. The conditioner is thick and creamy in consistency and is best left on the hair for 5-10 minutes before rinsing out. A little amount goes a long way; In fact I have been using this product once a week for the last couple of months and have only used half the tube.

After using this treatment my hair instantly felt silky smooth, tangle-free and much healthier. My hair condition has definitely improved due to using this treatment and looks shiny and healthier in texture. I shall definitely be re-pursing this product, the only negative being it’s not very easily accessible. I’m yet to find any salons that stock Neal & Wolf, however, I have come across a few online stores now stocking it such as Beauty Bay; Synergy Hair, Salon Lines and of course Neal & Wolf.

Priced at £12.95 for 200ml and is available from http://www.nealandwolf.com/

Have you tried any of the Neal & Wolf range?

M.A.C to pull Rodarte Makeup Collection

After all the controversy surrounding the M.A.C / Rodarte collaboration in the beauty blogging world, the efforts of the online community coming together to raise the awareness resulting in the promise of M.A.C donating all profits from the collection.

It comes as a shock that M.A.C has announced that they shall not be shipping the Rodarte makeup collection this Fall, inspired by the Mexican town of Juarez. Beauty bloggers united and created an online petition against the collection as many believed it glamorised poverty and violence against women in the factory town. M.A.C responded by offering to donate all profits from the collection to charity to help these women of Juarez.
What are your thoughts on this matter?
